A simple cloud of hope floating in blue sky, above a blue green sea. Bring it with you and hope will follow, order it in a jar to go, "Speranza al Vetro"

When living in Italy I often order my cappuccino in a glass. This got me thinking what if on those dark days we could just order up some hope in glass and take it with us. Isn't it up to us, our state of mind.

This painting is created on wood board with layers of Venetian Plaster and layers of Oil Paint. The "air" background first was painted pink then layers and layers of white so that it is almost hard to see palest hint of pink, depends upon the surrounding colors and environment. Venetian Plaster here has a slight streaky texture

The frame is Italian artisan built, it reads here as black but is actually dark grey, the color of an elephant. It is wood and has wood grain, and then also a look of velvet.
