Soda Galvano was a notable 1960s–1970s Norwegian furniture manufacturer and designer known for high-quality, Scandinavian modern seating. Often collaborating with Lied Møbler, they specialized in comfortable, ergonomic lounge chairs, recliners, and sofas featuring teak or rosewood frames, leather upholstery, and distinct, durable, sculptural, or Trestle-style designs.
Vatne Møbler is a renowned Norwegian furniture manufacturer established in 1946 by Knut Sæter, celebrated for its mid-century modern designs and iconic collaborations. Best known for Sigurd Ressell’s iconic 1970s "Falcon" chair, the company produced high-quality, Scandinavian-style furniture, including leather lounges, armchairs, and sofas by designers like Fredrik A. Kayser.

The plywood beech frame and legs show … moreThis built-for-comfort lounge chair and ottoman set is in 100% original, vintage condition. The plywood beech frame and legs show some minor signs of vintage wear such as small scrapes and light nicks and scratches (the worst of which are shown in the detail photos provided). With that said the wood is in overall very good condition and the beechwood stained rosewood is absolutely gorgeous in natural light. The leather does show some signs of wear and patina with several pin pricks, scratches and minor areas of light discoloration present ( the worst of which are all shown in the detail photos provided). With that said the leather is in overall very good shape and shows no rips or odors whatsoever. As purists we strive to keep our pieces in as original condition as possible but if you'd prefer to have this chair reupholstered please message us prior to checkout to discuss options and pricing. The canvas back too shows minor areas of light discoloration (shown in the detail photos provided). The chair reclines and swivels 360 degrees with ease and without noise of issue. Fully reclined the chair measures 46" depth and 36" when fully upright. This chair and ottoman set is the epitome of comfort, are structurally solid and ready for decades more of use.
