Oil on canvas depicting an aristocrat, French school, 1760-1785.
This portrait shows a young gentleman in three-quarter view, seated in an armchair, the back of which is visible on the left. He wears a powdered wig tied with a black ribbon, typical of 18th-century aristocratic fashion. His dark coat is enhanced by a rich gold buttonhole and a pink waistcoat, while a jabot and white lace cuffs emphasize the refinement of his social rank. Relined.
