Carrara marble sculpture depicting the head of a young woman from the second half of the 19th century. This Hellenistic-style sculpture depicts the face of a young girl, with harmonious and symmetrical features, inspired by classical Greek statuary. Her hair is gathered in a sakkos, a typical cloth used in ancient Greece, leaving a few curly locks at the sides of her face. The sculpture is carved from Carrara statuary marble, characterized by grayish veins that run across the girl's face and neck.
