This piece represents a superb synthesis of post-war rationalist furniture design and the vibrant abstract art movement flourishing in Tuscany during that era. The table features an asymmetric top meticulously veneered in premium oak wood, showcasing a prominent and dynamic natural grain pattern. Masterfully set into the side of the wooden top is an artistic enamelled copper plate. The copper surface features an energetic composition of multi-layered abstract motifs executed in rich vitreous enamels. from a formal and regional perspective, the technique and expressive quality of this abstract enamel directly reference the highly sophisticated production of VNF (Vigna Nuova Firenze), a pioneering Florentine laboratory and gallery renowned for elevating high-temperature enamelled copper into a signature element of high-end avant-garde interior decoration.
