Set of 2 beautiful vintage bentwood chairs produced by Thonet, Austria, model No. 14 or inspired by this iconic design.
Production dates most likely back to the early 20th century.
The solid beech wood frames feature a dark stained finish and have been carefully restored and treated with natural oil to preserve their original character.
The rattan seats have been newly hand-woven. Original manufacturer markings can still be found underneath the seats.
Due to their age, the frames show a few tension cracks (please see the last photos). This is quite typical for antique bentwood chairs of this period and does not affect their overall stability.
