An exceptionally rare “Skarabé” table lamp, designed by Stig Ahlström, Clas Kock, and Lars Bylund for Ateljé Lyktan in Åhus, Sweden. The Skarabé is one of the Swedish lighting studio's most iconic designs, combining functionalist precision with a distinct space-age aesthetic. The cylindrical head with its characteristic black ribbed rings, the curved, chrome-plated Z-arm, and the compact clamp base create a design of rare consistency. The lamp takes its name from the two adjustable reflector mirrors, which precisely direct the halogen light and whose shape is reminiscent of the mythical scarab beetle.


The Skarabé is one of the Swedish lighting studio's most iconic designs.
