Chippy paint. In really good condition for its age. Known as a "Howdah" elephant still bank, often produced by manufacturers like Hubley or A.C. Williams in the early 20th century. Features a saddle/howdah and a coin slot in the top. Dating from the late 19th to the early 20th centuries, these cast iron coin banks often came in the shape of animals to encourage children to save their coins. This adorable elephant coin bank has a lot of its original polychrome and gilt detail, and is in good condition considering age and use. A must have for any collector of antique still banks! See less
