He used acrylic paint, wire mesh and other materials on a stretched canvas. Measuring 48”’high X 36”’wide and 1” deep. This painting is not framed and frankly is doesn’t need to be unless that’s something you find necessary

Without question, once hanging on your wall, it’s guaranteed to make an impressive statement. Furthermore, it is signed and dated 2025 in the lower right front.

Shoemaker began painting back in 2000. He was impressed with the late and well known artist Purvis Young who is an outsider artist who paints on found materials, plus being completely self taught. Shoemaker follows that same theme, just like the fact the this Bead-Board he painted it on is found material, typical for outsider artists.
