An American Art Deco Frosted Glass and Brass
"Four Seasons" Table Lamp.
The glass body designed by Carl Schmitz (1900-
1967) for Verlys of America, circa 1940; subsequent mid-century lamp conversion.
The lamp is centered by a heavy, tapering satin-frosted crystal urn featuring high bas-relief molded figures depicting seasons. The molded art glass body is mounted with a polished brass stepped cap, raised on a stacked cylindrical lucite ring, and supported by a square polished brass pedestal base.

Date of Manufacture: Glass circa 1940; Lamp conversion mid-20th century
• Materials: Frosted molded glass, brass, acrylic / lucite
Dimensions: Approximately 22" to 24" high to the finial (base approx. 5" × 5")
• Condition: Good vintage condition. Light surface wear, minor oxidation, and faint scratching to the brass components consistent with age and use. The glass body is free of structural cracks or chips. Working condition.
