1953 Model JH-540 Valet chair by Hans J. Wegner for Johannes Hansen.
This gorgeous piece of mid century design is as functional as it as beautiful. The seat folds up to create a rack for hanging pants and also reveals a hidden compartment for small goods. The sculptural 'hangar style' back is perfect to hang your accompanying jacket for the night.
This example is in good vintage condition with no major scratches or nicks. All brass pieces have been lubricated and function smoothly. The chair is structurally sound. Manufacturer's stamp on bottom of seat.
