Custom Exquisite and extensive Sorento Marquetry and region, Italian import, MCM, 1950s.
Dimensions: 31-3/4" wide, 16" deep, 30" tall. With squared cabriol legs and 3 drawers and a swivel, folding top felt games table.
3-box drawers: a central drawer with face carved in gilt hi-relief of the 3 Christian symbols: Cross, Grapes and Anchor. Faith, Hope and Love. Adjacent left and right have framed book-matched burl Walnut vanear panes. The drawer sides are routed and are all cured with a hard pen rating oil.
The Sorento Marquetry top is glowing vibrant with a book matched central panes, rich with expressionate, swirling glowing details. Glowing Rope and cross-banding border this central pane.
The entire Sorento Marquetry top and the Burlwood drawers professionally hand-applied/runned rubbed Danish Oil, 2-coats.
The internal swivel mechanism moves assuredly with authority.
