Charles and Ray Eames designed these incredible La Fond chairs at request from their friend Alexander Girard, who needed seating for his new restaurant, La Fonda Del Sol, in New York City. Each chair is designed with a fiberglass shell and a solid cast aluminum base. They even devised a new upholstery system for these chairs with the exclusive Eames edge made of solid rubber.

This set is in good vintage condition with some small signs of wear commensurate with age but overall presents really well. - One chair with small cut to vinyl. Some scattered tarnish/oxidation. Scuffs and wear from age use. See less
