A beautiful early 20th century Italian Art Deco alabaster lamp, sculpted in warm honey, cream, and smoky gray tones with a charming carved bird perched at the top.
The piece has a striking architectural form,with tiered circular sections and a wide shallow bowl-like body that gives it a strong Deco silhouette. The carved bird adds a whimsical sculptural element, while the natural veining of the alabaster brings wonderful movement and depth throughout the piece.
Made in Italy and signed, this lamp is both decorative and functional — a lovely example of early 20th century Italian stone carving, where lighting was treated almost like sculpture. Elegant, unusual, and full of character.
