Bring a striking piece of American transit history into your space with this exceptional pair of vintage railroad switch signal lamps.
A meticulously restored pair of authentic mid-century railroad switch lanterns, beautifully repurposed for contemporary interiors. Used for decades to guide trains safely through track switches, these heavy iron and steel bodies have been carefully stripped, preserved, and re-imagined as high-end table lamps.
They have been beautifully restored and professionally converted into electric table lamps.
Each lamp has a light at the top and one in the bottom for a “night” light that high lights the stepped macro-fresnel glass lenses (the distinct ridged design meant to focus the light beam over long distances). The combination shown includes amber/orange and blue/green signaling glass.
