Decorative 19th century Japanese Satsuma porcelain group from the Meiji period, richly hand-painted with figural scenes, gilt decoration, and traditional ornamental borders. The set includes a large handled pitcher, a teapot, a handled cup, and a covered tea caddy.
The large pitcher features a bulbous body, tall neck, applied handle, and long spout, decorated with detailed figural panels and extensive gilt accents. The teapot has a low rounded form with an arched handle and painted figural scenes around the body. The matching cup and tea caddy continue the same decorative vocabulary, with finely painted Japanese figures, patterned reserves, and warm cream, gold, red, black, and earth-tone enamels.
Together, the pieces create a charming and highly decorative Meiji-period Satsuma grouping, ideal for display in a cabinet, on a console, or as part of an Asian decorative arts collection.
