Iconic danish coffee table model fd 516 designed by peter hvidt & orla mølgaard-nielsen for france & daverkosen during the 1950s. This early production example retains the original fd maker's mark underneath.
the design is characterised by its elegant tapered legs, softly shaped tabletop and distinctive suspended rattan magazine shelf, creating a light and architectural appearance from every angle. A celebrated example of early danish modern design that perfectly balances functionality and craftsmanship.
the surface has been professionally refinished and presents beautifully. The table remains in very good vintage condition with only minor age-related signs of use.
