This napoleon iii period table is almost round with numerous extension options. The central column, ending in four scrolled console feet, opens in two to reveal a central baluster supporting the tabletop, allowing for the insertion of extensions. The table seats eighteen. Only one small mahogany extension is available; additional extensions must be purchased separately. Maison jeanselme was founded in 1824 and was a supplier to all the royal households. This table is typical of the napoleon iii period, circa 1860. We have eight chairs that originally accompanied this table.
