Hand-knotted rug from the "Jungla" series, in pure woven wool. Born from a collaboration with the painter Giuseppe Ajmone, it is made with high-quality materials, respecting the painter's chromatic palette and graphic refinement. Italy, circa 1960.

Pugi is a company founded in the early 1900s as a manufacturer of rugs and furnishing fabrics.
Giuseppe Ajmone (February 17, 1923 - April 8, 2005) was an Italian painter.
from 1941, he studied painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, under the guidance of Achille Funi and Carlo Carrà. In 1946, he was one of the signatories of the Manifesto of Realism, also known as "Beyond Guernica." He contributed to the editorial staff of Numero (1944-1946), Pittura (1946-1948), and Quaderni milanesi (1960-1962). He collaborated with Einaudi from 1947 to 1949. In 1951, he won the "Senatore Borletti" prize for young Italian painting and was a member of the Technical Committee of the Milan Triennale. His works are included in public and private collections.
