Elegant silver jardinière in an elongated quatrefoil shape, the sides divided by four pilasters featuring floral and foliage relief, tapering … Read more Elegant silver jardinière in an elongated quatrefoil shape, the sides divided by four pilasters featuring floral and foliage relief, tapering into flared feet with feather-leaf supports; vertical straight sides with the upper edge tapering to a point in the centre of each segment and regular vertical openings in the form of tightly coiled meanders, framed at the top and bottom edges by decorative relief bands, large shield-shaped panels in the centre of each segment, framed by laurel festoons encircling the vessel; console elements applied opposite one another along the length on the exterior, featuring movable oval rings with laurel wreath relief as handles; on the underside, two crossbars serving as supports for the glass container. A fitted glass insert with an upper edge curved to match the vessel, stone cut on the upper, projecting rim, as well as faceted cuts extending from the pilasters and across the tapering centres, with a large cut star on the base.
