The artist constructs the scene through a skillful alternation of solids and voids, allowing the gaze to wander from the compact mass of fruit in the foreground to the distant blue volcano in the background.

The dominant element is the two large bunches of grapes that descend with natural elegance toward the center of the composition. Around them are gathered peaches with velvety skin, silvery plums, and a large pumpkin, arranged with apparent spontaneity. The large vine leaves, tinged with reddish and golden hues, introduce a seasonal note that suggests the arrival of autumn. The rendering of light is particularly refined, caressing the grapes, rendering them almost translucent, and giving the fruit a tangible presence. The painting is distinguished by a warm and enveloping palette, playing on the contrasts between the amber hues of the peaches, the deep greens of the foliage, and the vibrant purples of the ripe grapes. Of particular interest is the landscape unfolding on the left, the silent protagonist of the work. Between the treetops, we glimpse a distant mountain range, shrouded in a thin atmospheric haze, which, thanks to the aerial perspective technique, lends remarkable depth to the scene.
