The set showcases a distinctive, embossed brutalist-pop geometric pattern consisting of relief arches and beaded borders.
The design features a stark, sophisticated contrast between a semi-matte cream stoneware body and a rich, high-gloss chocolate brown glaze applied to the saucers and the architectonic, cross-shaped lid of the sugar container. The set retains the faint impressed lowercase "carlton" manufacturer stamp on the underside of the hollowware pieces.
