These rare fixtures embody the refined dialogue between Murano glass artistry and sophisticated Italian mid-century metalwork that distinguished Seguso’s production in the immediate post-war period. The design is centered around a remarkable cantilevered brass support, whose sharply articulated profile forms an elegant zig-zag geometry projecting from the wall. Rather than employing a conventional curved arm, Seguso conceived a dynamic angular bracket that appears almost architectural in character, creating a sense of tension and balance between the wall plate and the suspended glass element. The arm culminates in a slender black-lacquered tapered finial, lending the composition a distinctly modernist silhouette while emphasizing the verticality of the shade. The generously scaled shades are executed in thick hand-blown pulegoso and textured Murano glass, featuring a flared trumpet form with softly scalloped rims.
