This was likely made at the … Read more For your dining room, library or hallway, a handsome mahogany Regency style case piece. This was likely made at the end of the 19th centruy or beginning of the 20th. The piece features beautiful brass grill work. Behing that are wood panels which have been adorned with terracotta pleated silk fabric from Clarence House. The piece could be used with or without the panels, hence I have photographed the piece both ways. Glass could be fitted behind the grill work as well if preferred. The top of this piece has some issues with veneer loss and disturbed finish. arestorer could fix the venner and refinish the top, but if I were to keep this, I think I would have a piece of marble or black slate cut for the top to provide a very practical surface. Many pieces of the period did have such tops. This is a small "project," hence the price. See less
