A refined and decorative Chinese export porcelain table lamp, mounted from an ovoid vase hand-painted in the famille rose palette with an elaborate celestial court scene encircling the full body.
The figural narrative depicts robed immortals, a bearded celestial dignitary, court attendants, and a kneeling supplicant set against rockery, pine trees, and swirling auspicious clouds in pink, blue, yellow, and green — a classic Chinese iconography of divine audience, associated with longevity and good fortune.
The vase rests on a polished stepped gilt brass octagonal base and is surmounted by a cut-corner rectangular silk shade with rope trim and brass gallery frame. The crowning detail is a beautifully carved green hardstone (jade-form) finial in a leafy floral motif — an elegant and rare touch seldom seen on standard lamp conversions.
