These … Read more An elegant set of five cantilever armchairs designed by Italian designer Renato Zevi for Roche Bobois in the 1970s.

These armchairs are distinguished by their chromed tubular steel frame with fluid, sculptural lines, perfectly illustrating the modernist and Space Age aesthetic characteristic of Italian design in the 1970s.

The seats and backs are upholstered in a fine, faux-plain looped fabric in a predominantly ecru tone, which subtly contrasts with the gleam of the chrome.

Some signs of age are present on the chrome, more pronounced on three of the chairs, particularly around the edges of the seats (see photos).
