A rare and distinguished Chinese Export porcelain baluster vase lamp featuring an exquisite powder blue and black ground with richly applied gilt chinoiserie decoration depicting scholar's objects, flowering branches, and butterflies — motifs characteristic of Qing Dynasty export porcelain in the Kangxi tradition, 18th–early 19th century. The vase is mounted on a turned mahogany base with period brass hardware and harp, acquired at Colefax & Fowler, London, in the late 1980s. A true rarity!
