Heavy-duty wooden laboratory island or preparation table featuring a substantial painted frame fitted with six oversized drawers arranged in two banks of three. The cabinet retains contrasting oak drawer fronts with integral pulls set within a gray-painted case, while paneled ends and exposed fasteners emphasize its institutional construction. The broad work surface provided ample space for classroom demonstrations, specimen preparation, sorting, drafting, or laboratory tasks, while the unusually deep footprint and six wide, shallow drawers offered organized storage for instruments, supplies, forms, and teaching materials.
