this table has a splayed base with four fluted legs connected to a turned gun barrel style central column. The ormolu castor caps on the feet are exceptional with floral and scrolling ornament. The frieze of the table is particularly slim and elegant and contains four working and four dummy drawers with ebony stringing, and contrasting ebonised knobs. The top retains an old charming leathercloth inset. The drawers retain their original pulls and the mahogany used throughout is of excellent quality with great figure and a good patination and colour.
