While it works beautifully today as a plant stand, accent table, or magazine rack, it was originally designed as a smoker’s stand for entertaining. The circular ring at the top was meant to hold an ashtray, the teak surface works as a small drink table, and the lower wire rack was designed for magazines or reading material.

That original multifunction design is part of what makes the piece so interesting. It has a great mid century look with clean lines, brass-capped feet, and wrapped details that give it a light, architectural feel.
