Up for sale is a beautiful, matching pair of authentic vintage Leg-O-Matic folding chairs, manufactured by the Legomatic Division of Lorraine Industries, Inc. in Bridgeport, CT. Known for their incredible space-saving engineering, these chairs are perfect for mid-century modern apartments, tiny homes, or vintage RVs and Airstream trailers.
DESIGN & MECHANICS:
These chairs feature a gorgeous tapered walnut-finished wood frame, a classic vertical multi-slat backrest, and comfortable black padded vinyl seats. Unlike standard folding chairs, the internal metal linkage system allows all four legs to fold automatically and nest fully flat within the profile of the seat frame for ultra-compact storage.
CONDITION:
Both chairs are in good vintage condition. The structural wood frames are solid, and the signature automatic folding mechanisms glide smoothly and lock securely into position. The original black vinyl seat cushions are intact with no major rips or punctures. Both chairs still retain their original legal compliance labels attached underneath the seat frames, confirming the use of 100% urethane foam padding. Mild cosmetic surface wear, light scuffs, and minor scratches on the wood finish are present, consistent with age and occasional use.
