The Queen's Factory (Porcelaine de la Reine), is an 18th-century hard-paste porcelain manufactory located on Rue Thiroux in Paris, France. The firm was established by André-Marie Leboeuf. In 1778, Queen Marie Antoinette officially granted the factory her formal protection and patronage. To honor her royal backing, the factory changed its registered insignia to the iconic "A" topped with the Queen's crown, most frequently applied as a red stencil. Because of this royal connection, the porcelain became famously known as "Porcelaine à la Reine". Marie Antoinette highly favored these high-quality pieces, commissioning items specifically for her famous rustic retreat, the Hameau de la Reine (The Queen's Hamlet) and her dairy at Versailles.
