Beautiful and Refined French Secretary Cabinet from the Mid-19th Century Napoleon III Period.
This 7 drawers “Trompe-l’oeil Semainier” has 5 drawers and a flap hiding a beautiful theater 2 shelves and 2 small drawers which when lowered will serve as a writing desk.
Exquisite craftsmanship, ebonized wood, Boulle work and ormolu, the cabinet does have some esthetics loss to the Boulle work, some cracks in the wood, but still remains very sturdy and can be restored back to its glory days or left as is and still be a show-stopper and a piece of history.
