The saint is shown standing over a dragon-like demon, one of the principal attributes associated with Saint Margaret and a defining element of her iconography. The figure displays the elongated proportions, restrained expression, and stylized drapery characteristic of late Gothic devotional sculpture in the Iberian Peninsula.
