A very special group of children from the time the design was created: girl in a long-sleeved dress of blue-violet fabric dotted with pink, her hair tied up, is crouching with her little brother, who is wearing a white shirt, next to a long piece of driftwood, baking sand moulds on it using a meissen plate and cup with an onion pattern. Modelling and detailing of the highest quality, excellent, lifelike and meticulous attention to detail. Modeller: julius konrad hentschel (coelln 1872 - meissen 1907) studied at the academies in munich and dresden, was a modeler and porcelain painter, worked at the meissen manufactory from 1889, one of the most influential art nouveau artists, designed various forms of tableware, he began his figural creations with amoretti and culminated in a series of playing children. Model w 165 was created 1906.
