Rare and delicate goldscheider art déco ceramic figurine of the 1930s: elegant young lady with chin-length curly blonde hair and an elegant black hat, a light grey skirt and a dark blue patterned top, over which she wears a short-sleeved light grey waistcoat and long black gloves; with her legs crossed and her left arm resting on her hip, her right forearm resting on her leg, sitting on a large, light brown suitcase and looking straight ahead; next to her on the suitcase is an open book, beneath her legs a large, light grey, round hat box. Without a plinth; the artist’s signature ‘dakon’ on the top right of the back of the suitcase. Designed by stephan dakon (1904 - 1992), was one of the most important designers who worked for the goldscheider manufactory from 1924 until the mid-fifties. Model 6959 was created and made circa 1934. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
