A beautifully resolved and highly practical design, each table packs multiple clever storage functions and materials into a compact footprint. The single frieze drawer is fitted with a substantial, twisted wrought iron ring pull on a heavy hammered backplate — a distinctive hardware detail packed with rustic character. Beneath the drawer, a charmingly shaped, scalloped apron frames a completely removable wicker basket that slots neatly into the interior frame, perfect for versatile storage.

Adding further structural utility, a slatted oak lower shelf connects the base. The drawer interiors are smartly divided into practical compartments, making the pair exceptionally well-suited as bedside tables or occasional side tables. The oak tops are beautifully figured with a prominent, open limed grain characteristic of Kjærnulf's celebrated Brutalist-leaning work. Supported by chunky, masterfully turned and carved legs, the tables feature a wonderfully uniform, warm bleached oak tone throughout.
