An elegant shield shape and a finely ornamented border. A decorative piece typical of the Italian taste of the 1950s and 60s.

Its shape is its main appeal: a rounded top, gently sloping shoulders, and a harmonious descent to a narrower base.
The signature detail of this mirror lies in its beaded border that frames the perimeter. This delicate motif, inspired by classical ornamentation, adds a precious and elegant touch to the brass frame.
The brass frame rests on a panel backing. The metal has been cleaned and now displays a beautiful golden patina with warm undertones, with some traces of oxidation that attest to its age. The backing shows some damp stains along the edges, without affecting the mirror's sturdiness or its appearance.

The mirror has an integrated hook at the top of the frame. This can be used on its own, but leaves the wall mounting point visible. Two additional hooks have therefore been added to the back for a more discreet installation. See less
