A historic piece of great charm and rarity, ideal for collectors of fine antique English ceramics.
Subject and Style: The tureen features an elegant square shape with contoured edges and a lid surmounted by a curled handle. It is enriched by a splendid oriental-style decorative band, featuring cobalt blue geometric motifs, polychrome flowers, and rich gold trim.
Material and Finish: Made of fine English porcelain. The glazed surface features the characteristic and fascinating craquelure of its age. As shown in the photo, the base bears the original manufacturer's mark "Solian Ware - Soho Pottery Ltd Cobridge," accompanied by an archive tag dating it to 1913.
