Before the bathroom became a room you decorated, it was a room you attended to — with a basin, a razor, and cloth chosen by someone who understood that the way you began the day was worth considering. These antique French linen shaving towels are from that world. Long and narrow in the classic French lavabo format — approximately 22" × 14" — woven from a crisp, substantial plain-weave linen that has outlasted a century and arrives in superb condition.
Two monograms across the group. The PSF towels carry a bold embroidered block-letter monogram in the confident Edwardian mode — the kind commissioned for trousseau linens and used seriously for decades. The BHG group answers with a structured diamond-form monogram, architectural in its geometry, the initials treated as an act of draftsmanship rather than mere marking.
All white. All retaining their hemstitch borders. All laundered, aired, and pressed at Hemlock House.
Use them as intended — folded on a towel rack, draped over a basin, set out for a guest. Or frame them. Either is correct.
