Handcrafted Otagiri stoneware teapot made in Japan, circa 1970s–1980s. Otagiri became well known for exporting high-quality Japanese ceramics that blended traditional craftsmanship with Mid-Century Modern and Japandi aesthetics. This example features a warm sand glaze, terracotta-red base, flying seagull motif, integrated ceramic strainer, and wrapped rattan swing handle. A beautiful display piece for Japandi, Coastal, Organic Modern, Wabi-Sabi, or Mid-Century décor, and originally intended for tea service.
Dimensions: 8.5" wide including spout, 6" body diameter, 5.5" tall without handle, 8.5" tall with handle raised.
