This striking, mid-century original oil painting by Roy M. Steinberg captures an embracing, passionate couple. The piece showcases Steinberg's signature fluid linework and rapid brushwork, adding an incredible sense of motion.
Roy M. Steinberg was born in Bartow, Florida, in 1929. In 1956, he moved to New York City, where he studied at the Art Students League and became a Life Member. He gained critical appreciation for his abstract expressionism and representational form and established a studio in the Barron Arts Center in Woodbridge, New Jersey. His solo exhibits at the Wrans Gallery in New Jersey and the Celedon in SoHo were highly acclaimed, and his work was hosted by the Mellon Collection, the Atlantic County Museum, the CPI Corporation, and the Beaux Arts Gallery in Fort Lauderdale.
