A beautiful early 20th century white ironstone pitcher by Alfred Meakin Ltd., England, marked Royal Ironstone China on the underside. This classic English ironstone form features a rounded body, raised neck banding, scalloped foot, applied handle, and a softly ruffled rim with an elongated pouring spout
.
The clean white glaze and sculptural silhouette make this piece wonderfully versatile — equally at home in a farmhouse kitchen, English country hutch, cottage interior, or layered antique collection. Originally made as functional tableware, it now works beautifully as a decorative pitcher, vase for branches or garden flowers, or display piece among collected ironstone.
The underside shows the Alfred Meakin Ltd. England backstamp. The base also shows age-related discoloration and wear consistent with use and age, adding to its authentic antique character.
