It is sculptued as a sparrow or blue bird, featuring a removable lid with a small knob on top. There are very few that have the lids as this one does. These teapots are made of ceramic or porcelain and are hand-painted. Blue birds are symbols of happiness, wealth and friendship. The height of this teapot is 6.5" by 9"long by 5" wide. It is believe to be made in the 1950's. I found this darling little teapot at a street fair in Boise, ID. See less
