An exceptional, matching set of four authentic "Envelope" armchairs (Model SBEV-1020), originally designed by the legendary Ward Bennett in 1966 and manufactured by Geiger International.
This specific set boasts incredible corporate provenance; original factory labels underneath confirm they were part of a custom order commissioned directly for the US Olympic Committee via dealer Henriksen Butler.
Featuring Bennett’s iconic minimalist silhouette, the chairs are composed of continuous, gleaming tubular chrome frames paired with their original camel/taupe upholstered sling seats. Their classic, low-profile form allows them to seamlessly function as architectural dining chairs or sophisticated executive office/conference seating.
CONDITION
Good / Very Good Vintage Condition — Wear consistent with age and use. The original vinyl upholstery displays some minor, light cosmetic scuffing from gentle use. The tubular chrome frames have been meticulously detailed, polished, and sealed. They present beautifully with a bright, mirror-like shine.
