French Rambervillers creamware tea cup and saucer circa 1760. U-shaped cup with four moulded panels with floral decoration on a 'seeded' ground. The thickly potted saucer similarly decorated on the underside but with plain interior. Saucer measures 5 1/8" diameter x 1 1/2" deep; cup measures 3 3/8" across over handle x 2 3/8" tall. Good condition. Similar to Pont-aux-Choux. Another example in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
