Preserved from a larger canvas, this salvage fragment represents the most compelling section of the original work. Carefully mounted on canvas board for stability, the painting is beautifully presented in an ornate gilt frame with linen liner and gold slip.

The reverse of the original stretcher bears a Milano stamp, suggesting Italian origin, while age-related craquelure and wear contribute to the painting’s authentic character. Photographs of the original canvas and stretcher are included to document its preservation and history.
