A miniature jewel for the collector’s wall, this one of a kind assemblage by Memphis artist Dorothy Collier pairs a classical white intaglio cameo with hand selected marbled paper in rich shades of teal, turquoise, black, and gold. The composition is housed within an authentic vintage Florentine gilt frame, creating a striking contrast between neoclassical elegance and bold, contemporary color.

Collier’s work is deeply informed by her lifelong love of antiques and collected objects. As co owner of Heirloom House, a vintage shop and art gallery in Memphis, she regularly incorporates found frames, historical motifs, and decorative arts references into her contemporary practice. This piece reflects that fascination, blending old world craftsmanship with modern pattern and composition.
