crafted during the final decade of the german democratic republic, these chairs are a wonderful example of eastern european modernist design, combining practicality, quality craftsmanship and understated elegance. Their clean architectural lines, gently tapered legs and minimalist form reflect the strong scandinavian and bauhaus influences that shaped much of east german furniture design during the period.

constructed with solid beech frames finished in a warm honey tone, the chairs possess a light and elegant appearance whilst remaining exceptionally sturdy and well-made.
