The artist graduated with a degree in the History of Art & Architecture from the University of London in 1989. After leaving London in 1991 for the countryside, Myles-Lea embarked on a 25-year career in which he was commissioned to paint bird’s-eye-view portraits of country houses, estates and formal gardens in oils throughout the United Kingdom, Belgium, Holland, Germany, and the United States. His clients have included Prince Charles, Princess Salimah Aga Khan, The Lauder Family, The Oppenheimer Family, and Oprah Winfrey to name only a few. In 2013, Myles-Lea made the bold decision to move to California and begin working in a much looser style. “Adam & Eve” is one of these experimental works, which was created in his Los Angeles studio between July of 2013 and April of 2015. Oil on canvas. The piece is 48.5 x 70.5, framed, and signed by the artist on reverse. See less
